Solar PV Installation Course Syllabus

Course Duration: 30 Hours / 20 Hours in Class and 10 Hours On the Job


  1. Solar PV Fundamentals

  2. OHMS Law

  3. Use of PPE / Site Pre-Planning / Using Solar Grid Template

  4. Understanding PV Components and Balance of System / BOS

  5. Sizing the System based on Electric Consumption

  6. Inverter System and Design/ Solar PV System and Design

  7. Designing Grid Tie and Off Grid System and Battery Design Calculation

  8. GTK –Electrical best practices (Conducted by NADB’s Licensed Electrical Team)

  9. GTK –Solar PV System

  10. OJT –Use of PPE

  11. Hands-On: Installation of one PV String to DC Combiner (use of all BOS and applying NADB Best Practices)

  12. Workmanship Standards and Best Practices


Course Fee:$1500 Plus HST


Supplemental Courses: Only to those PT and FT employees of NADB / No Fee


  1. Course Duration: 40 Hours / NABCEP Accredited

  2. Advance Training on Micro-Inverter PV System

  3. Advanced Training on String Inverter / Optimizer
